.Infrared CVD Zinc Selenide(ZnSe) Window
.Introductions:
Znse is a synthetic crystal with excellent optical properties such as high transparency, low absorption rate, high thermal stability, etc., ZnSe does not exist in the natural environment. Zinc Selenide window has a transmission range of 0.5~20μm and has high transmittance at 3~12μm, so it is usually used as a window, lens or beam splitting element in infrared IR optical systems and laser applications.
Compared with other infrared optical materials, ZnSe has a lower MOH hardness grade, so when considering materials, the use of ZnSe in harsh environments should be avoided, especially scratches and other surface defects will cause light scattering and absorption and affect the performance of the entire optical system. In addition, ZnSe window is an ideal high-power laser component, whether used as an output window for lasers, as well as for laser focusing and beam splitting, due to its high thermal stability, which enables it to maintain the transparency and optical performance of the components even under high-intensity lasers.
Advantages of Infrared ZnSe windows:
. High thermal stability and low absorption coefficient, can be used at high power lasers and high temperatures
. Good mechanical properties, high toughness, suitable for high pressure and impact conditions
. Good chemical stability, insoluble in water, able to resist a certain degree of corrosion and degradation
. The infrared frequency band has good transmission performance, high transmittance in 3~12μm, close to 95% after coating, and also has certain transmittance in the visible light band, which is conducive to the assembly of optical systems.
