The hardness of sapphire is second only to that of diamonds in nature, and this very hard property makes it extremely difficult to process. So although sapphire has many excellent properties, it is a very good optical and mechanical material, but due to the difficulty of processing and long processing time, its price is very high, which hinders its popularization.

Each processing link of sapphire is related to whether the latter link can meet the processing standards. Therefore, in the processing of sapphire, it is necessary to rely on good equipment and experienced processing personnel to ensure quality.

.Crystal Growth: Using a crystal growth furnace to grow large and high-quality single crystal sapphire crystals, mainly use KY( Kyropoulos Growth Sapphire) method sapphire for optical parts

.Crystal orientation：Detect the crystal orientation of the crystal growth and internal bubbles and other defections inside to ensure that the desired crystal orientation and crystals without internal defects can be obtained in the next process

.Drilling: Take out the sapphire ingot from the sapphire crystal with drilling machine.

.Rounding Processing: Use a cylindrical grinder to grind the ingot to obtain precise dimensional accuracy

.Slicing: Slice sapphire ingot into a size close to the finished sapphire component

.Grinding: Remove the chip cutting damage layer caused by slicing and improve the flatness of the blank

.Chamfering: Grind the edges and corners of the blank into arcs or 45° edges to improve the edge mechanical strength of the product and avoid stress damage

.Polishing: Improve the surface roughness of the sapphire crystal, remove the surface sub-damage layer, and make the surface reach the required smoothness and flatness

.Final Checking: Use various instruments or naked eyes to check whether the components meet the design requirements, including dimensions, tolerance, surface quality, flatness, chamfering, etc.

.Packing: Packing your sapphire windows with capacitor papers、ziplock bag and carton box or as your request.
